I know this has been written about the recent press friend Ayaz Amir but I promise that I had written about him last week as an epilogue that could not go because he had already exceeded my word limit. So here goes:
There was this Chappie, see, that was hauled up before the panchayat (village council of elders) to an offense for which he was sentenced to 100 or 100 to eat or get onions whacks at the bottom followed by the people with the chowkidar the chowkidar jutti. To prevent himself the indignity of having to lie face down and is administered whacks, the fellow offered to eat onions.
Five onion later, when his eyes began to convey to his ears and smoke, the man said that instead of being overcome. Five hard whacks down, said he does not eat onions. And so it was until the idiot had eaten all the onions I got 100 all 100 whacks.
Therefore, it has been with the new CPP in the restoration of My Lord Iftikhar Chaudhry and his brother judges, not only was the target of the wrath of the people when he refused repeatedly to comply with its own solemn promises by writing, but it became an object of derision when it caved in after hitting all those attitudes. In fact, it's looking pretty pathetic right now.
Furthermore, it is not as if there were some voices of moderation within the party as regards the person of His Honor, almost all of the top of "leadership" of the New PPP weighed against them no means certain. Name him or her, and she did everything to the garbage man.
Take only Fauzia Wahab, the information secretary of the party (I ask). When asked Hamid Mir on the television talk show for many months if he thought that the chief justice must be restored she smiled shyly and said, emphatically, "no". Take glib Babar Awan, or Naek or Khosa or Gabol, or whoever - all of various said: "Former CJ can not be restored through an executive order," "He has made himself controversial" "He has made himself politically," and so on, ad vomitum.
Now every one has the nerve to actually say his party has always been in favor of the restoration of His Honor, who were just waiting for retirement Dogar, since there could be two CJS. This is absurd as we all know and calluses. Because if that was the only reason why it was (to take just one example) My Lord Ramday not restored as promised? He had nothing to do with being CJ Dogar.
It is tripe and is it not absurd, this new and quite untenable position taken by the new CPP? When, and its new leadership, even begin to understand that is very thin ice, because it's stupidly stubborn way to manage what was (and is still now) one of the most serious crisis facing our country after the East Pakistan tragedy?
When will the new CPP understand the power of the media, especially television channels that beam independent news and current affairs in our homes 24 hours a day, seven days a week? When you understand that it is not possible to put pressure on cable operators to move a channel from 12 to 92, with no consequences? As I asked before, there is a foot and the majority with respect to Mr. Zardari tell the truth?
In some accounts he is an intelligent man, so does himself Asif Zardari did not see what is happening in the country, which is changing rapidly, and to chart a new course outside of itself and its New PPP? Do not feel the luxury of a carpet that is under their feet moving? In the immortal words of the immortal Bob Dylan song is all now baby blue: "The carpet too is moving under you ', Mr. President.
Although we should not be overly concerned with the internal works of the New PPP, what does affect us all. Because, above all, is the largest political party in the country which is represented in all provinces, and certainly does not deserve the treatment they are receiving from their so-called leadership. Pakistan needs like no other political forces to combat the threat, almost upon us, most terrible Taliban storm.
I still believe that was delivered to Mullah Swat too easy, too fast, and like many others in the country and abroad I am firmly of the view that parts of our security establishment that are part of the glove with the extremists made this possible transfer. Too many stories, was also seen many cases where the security forces simply did nothing when the terrorists were going to kill people on that under the nose of the troops stationed a few meters from the grisly events.
Well, folks, prepare for the next assault on everything that is of constitutional order in the country in the not too distant future. Quetta is said to be almost within reach of terrorists, many say they are about to declare Sharia there. I believe that large areas of the city are off-limits for women and just wondering when exactly the first girls' schools were flown there.
After Quetta, in southern Punjab where, by all indications, are the worst and most cold-blooded of the Taliban in Swat, after which Lahore. I fear that the morning will wake Lahore decapitated bodies hanging upside down in Mozang Chungi. Data Durbar or outside. Or at Liberty Chowk where a dress rehearsal has already been done in the shameful attack on the cricket team in Sri Lanka.
Amid all this president Salman Taseer to continue with their outrageous behavior and Tamasha, denying the majority party to form a government and will insist that only allow a session of the provincial assembly, where two parties form a coalition. What is he, please? If there is word that crossing is illegal, the law take its course and disbar those who violate constitutional provisions. Why you should call a session of the provincial assembly remain the prerogative of one man? Especially one that has fallen flat on its face on several occasions?
In any case, what makes Salman Taseer has great qualities we recommend that you represent the New PPP in Punjab? There are many gentlemanly figures within the party that would be more appropriate, more graceful, more mature, much more loyal to the party and for democracy, this adolescent reckless. For the first time in my life, I fear for our country. My Lord Chaudhry has done his job for him. May the Good Lord protect him and guide him.
